Responsibility
- Develop and analyze engineering designs using industry-standard software and tools.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure designs meet technical and financial requirements.
- Optimize resource utilization to enhance project efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed designs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and cost reports.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in design and costing.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Civil, or a related field.
- Proven experience in design and costing, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and cost estimation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards related to engineering and construction.
- Certification in project management or cost engineering is a plus.
