Responsibility
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide backup and storage solutions to ensure data availability and integrity.
- Develop and enforce data resilience policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Monitor and optimize storage infrastructure performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Lead incident response efforts for data-related issues, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools to enhance data backup and storage capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data backup, storage management, or data resilience roles.
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage) and backup technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning, data encryption, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as VCP, MCSE, or ITIL are highly desirable.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
