Damin International is seeking a dynamic Deputy Factory Manager to join our high-performing team in Pulau Indah, Selangor. Responsibility
- Assist the Factory Manager in the daily oversight of production, maintenance, and warehousing operations to ensure targets are met.
- Act as the primary liaison between local factory operations and Mandarin-speaking global stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, and other relevant local and international food safety and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse production team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee departmental KPIs and prepare detailed operational reports for management review.
- Manage operational expenditures and inventory levels to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is mandatory due to the nature of global stakeholder communication.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC) and regulatory compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to manufacturing optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing teams across different hierarchical levels.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
