Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management systems across project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure 100% compliance with MOM regulations and environmental standards.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitate and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for all high-risk construction activities.
- Organize and deliver safety induction training and specialized workshops for site staff and subcontractors.
- Liaise with government statutory boards (MOM, NEA, PUB) for site clearances, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the Environmental Control Program, ensuring noise and vector control measures are strictly followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
- At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in safety management within the construction industry.
- Prior experience managing safety for government-sector (LTA, HDB, or PUB) projects is highly preferred.
- Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO) or Safe Management Officer (SMO) certification is an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Singaporean construction safety standards.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical report-writing skills.
