Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning for patients.
- Execute restorative procedures, including fillings, extractions, and minor oral surgeries.
- Conduct preventative dental programs, including oral hygiene education and community health screenings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic dental records and patient files in accordance with government regulations.
- Collaborate with the NCIP health team to address specific healthcare needs of Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs).
- Provide emergency dental care and referrals for complex cases requiring specialized intervention.
- Prepare periodic reports on dental health status and service delivery outcomes within the region.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and clinical safety standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Must possess a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) License for Dentists.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in a public health or community dental setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse communities.
- Deep understanding of cultural sensitivity and commitment to the welfare of indigenous populations.
- Proficiency in standard dental equipment and modern restorative techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a field-based healthcare team.
- Must be willing to travel to remote areas within the Ilocos Region as required.
