Responsibility
- Assist dentists and oral surgeons during surgical and non-surgical dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized.
- Provide chair-side support, including handing instruments, operating suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms by setting up equipment, disinfecting surfaces, and organizing tools according to procedural requirements.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and inventory logs for dental supplies.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and OSHA/healthcare safety standards.
- Assist in dental X-rays and imaging under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient experience.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting, Dental Nursing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (1+ years) as a Dental Assistant or Surgery Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital radiography and dental software is a plus.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
