Responsibility
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including preparing instruments, materials, and treatment rooms.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while following safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks efficiently.
- Provide chairside support, ensuring patient comfort and assisting with emergency procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with the dental team to optimize workflow and enhance patient experience.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Dental Assisting or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role (preferred but not required for entry-level candidates).
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with dental software and digital radiography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Certification in CPR and basic life support is a plus.
