Responsibility
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions, by preparing instruments and materials.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety by providing chairside support, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns.
- Sterilize instruments, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain strict infection control protocols in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified) and ensure accurate digital or physical record-keeping.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene best practices, and preventive dental health measures.
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle administrative tasks to streamline clinic operations.
- Monitor and restock dental supplies, ensuring the clinic is well-equipped for daily procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team to create a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and precision.
- Familiarity with digital radiography and dental software (e.g., practice management systems) is a plus.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is advantageous.
