Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes and pastries.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary best practices.
- Participate in food tastings and provide feedback to enhance flavor profiles.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and techniques.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
