Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
- Ensure all food items are fresh, high-quality, and presented beautifully.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold kitchen standards and best practices.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe dining environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef or similar role in an Italian or fine-dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety standards.
