Responsibility

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
  • Ensure all food items are fresh, high-quality, and presented beautifully.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to prevent shortages.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold kitchen standards and best practices.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe dining environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef or similar role in an Italian or fine-dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
  • Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
