Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards and are presented according to established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu items based on seasonal ingredients and guest feedback.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- Support in training and guiding junior kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols to uphold the highest standards of food hygiene.
- Participate in special events and themed dining experiences to enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef, Commis Chef, or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
- Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with flavors and presentation.
- Familiarity with international cuisines and dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
