Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of bread, pastries, and dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Assist in the daily mise en place, ensuring all ingredients and stations are ready for service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Follow portion control and waste reduction practices to optimize cost efficiency.
- Provide support during peak hours, ensuring timely and high-quality food delivery to guests.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, bakery, or similar culinary environment.
- Familiarity with bread-making techniques, pastry preparation, and basic cooking methods.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistency and quality.
- Basic English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
