Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database, storage, and backup systems.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for data management, security, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate storage and backup solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in database administration, storage management, and backup solutions.
- Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage).
- Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup).
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft, AWS) are a plus.
