Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with PDPA and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in data handling processes and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and healthcare teams to ensure data protection measures are integrated into all operational workflows.
- Monitor and report on compliance with data governance standards, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead training and awareness programs to educate employees on data protection best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve data breaches or compliance incidents, ensuring timely and effective remediation.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and changes in data protection laws, particularly in the healthcare sector, and adapt policies accordingly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data governance inquiries, both internally and with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Law, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISA, CISSP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, risk management, or compliance, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of PDPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations relevant to healthcare.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, interpret complex regulations, and develop actionable compliance strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience in conducting audits, developing policies, and implementing data protection frameworks.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, electronic health records (EHR), and data security technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
