Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive testing of server hardware and components to ensure functionality and performance standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware-related issues in data centre equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for production inefficiencies.
- Document test results, failures, and corrective actions in detailed technical reports.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment and tools.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new server systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Adhere to strict safety and compliance protocols in a high-security data centre environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hardware testing, server maintenance, or data centre operations.
- Strong knowledge of server architectures, networking protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, POST cards).
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments and basic scripting (Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, or Cisco CCNA are advantageous.
