Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations of the data centre, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning optimally.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing equipment and services.
- Monitor and maintain contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to terms.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data centre operations, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in data centre environments.
- Excellent procurement and contract management skills, with a track record of successful vendor negotiations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools.
