Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Perform regular system checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of hardware and software components.
- Respond to and resolve technical incidents, escalating issues as needed to senior engineers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry best practices for data center operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of data center operations, including server hardware, networking, and storage technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotations.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or similar are a plus.
