Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental systems.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to implement upgrades and improvements to data centre operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in all facility-related activities.
- Document maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions for audit and compliance purposes.
- Provide on-call support for emergency situations to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Assist in the planning and execution of data centre expansion or relocation projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in data centre facilities management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including UPS, generators, and cooling systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA-942, ISO 27001, and local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
- Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or equivalent are a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
