Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement custom industrial software applications for factory automation, including HMI, SCADA, and MES systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate software solutions with hardware components (PLCs, robots, sensors).
- Optimize automation workflows to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance system reliability.
- Conduct requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical specifications for software development.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed automation systems, ensuring seamless performance.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in industrial automation (e.g., AI, machine learning, edge computing) and recommend innovations.
- Develop and maintain documentation, user manuals, and training materials for end-users and internal teams.
- Participate in client demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and system validations to ensure solution effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial software development, with a focus on factory automation or control systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java, and experience with PLC programming (IEC 61131-3).
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems (e.g., Mitsubishi Electric’s MELSOFT, Siemens WinCC, Ignition) and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Familiarity with IoT platforms, cloud integration (AWS/Azure), and data analytics for industrial applications.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to work in agile environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with global teams and clients.
