Responsibility
- Perform hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for servers, storage systems, and network devices in data center environments.
- Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure including power distribution, cooling systems, and cabling to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on data center equipment following Microsoftâs global standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new hardware, upgrade existing systems, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in Microsoftâs ticketing and asset management systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices for data center operations, including ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) prevention.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure.
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability initiatives to support Microsoftâs growing cloud demand.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data center operations, IT hardware support, or a related technical field.
- Proven expertise in server hardware (e.g., Dell, HP, Supermicro) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work in physically demanding environments (e.g., server racks, confined spaces).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a focus on operational excellence.
- Familiarity with data center safety protocols and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) to collaborate with global teams.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
