Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and cooling systems, to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Respond to and resolve technical incidents, escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and decommissioning of hardware and software components.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all operational activities, incidents, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects, upgrades, and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and company policies.
- Provide on-site support during shift hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure support, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and data center environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including night shifts and public holidays.
