Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on data center equipment, including servers, cooling systems, and power distribution units (PDUs).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of critical infrastructure to identify potential failures before they occur.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to implement upgrades, repairs, and system optimizations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards in all maintenance operations.
- Assist in emergency response procedures, including power outages and equipment failures.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data center maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), and electrical distribution systems.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to on-call duties as required.
