Responsibility
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, and generators to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in data center infrastructure, minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze power consumption, identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement upgrades, expansions, or modifications to electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical components to comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in detailed reports for continuous improvement.
- Assist in emergency response situations, including power outages or equipment failures, to restore services promptly.
- Support sustainability initiatives by optimizing electrical systems for energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Associateâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Bachelorâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in data centers, industrial facilities, or critical infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, AC/DC circuits, and electrical safety protocols (NFPA 70E, OSHA).
- Hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and PDUs.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Certifications such as Licensed Electrician, CET (Certified Electrical Technician), or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team under pressure.
