Responsibility
- Interpret complex datasets and analyze results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing, accurate reports.
- Develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, and data analytics tools to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain comprehensive data systems/databases.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, particularly within financial and operational workflows.
- Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Work closely with management and client stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities to enhance data collection and reporting reliability.
Qualifications
- Proven working experience of at least 2-3 years as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst, preferably supporting financial services.
- Strong technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with reporting packages and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong proficiency in querying databases utilizing SQL.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, or Python/R).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
