Responsibility
- Analyze large-scale mobile game datasets to detect fraudulent activities, bots, and cheating patterns using statistical methods and machine learning.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor real-time player behavior, anomalies, and system integrity.
- Collaborate with game designers and developers to implement anti-cheat measures and improve in-game fairness mechanisms.
- Identify trends in player engagement, retention, and monetization to provide actionable recommendations for game balancing and feature enhancements.
- Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of anti-cheat systems and gameplay adjustments on user experience.
- Automate data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure seamless integration of gaming telemetry, transaction logs, and user feedback.
- Present findings to cross-functional teams (e.g., product, engineering) through clear visualizations and data storytelling.
- Stay updated on emerging cheating techniques and industry best practices to continuously refine detection algorithms.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably in gaming, fintech, or cybersecurity, with a focus on fraud detection or behavioral analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL (advanced querying) and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create intuitive dashboards.
- Familiarity with machine learning models (e.g., clustering, classification) and their application in anomaly detection.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Passion for gaming and understanding of mobile game mechanics, economies, and player motivations.
- Excellent communication skills in English to articulate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
