Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special orders.
- Assist in daily kitchen operations, including ingredient prep, plating, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen supervisor.
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Support in menu development and testing new recipes under the head chef’s guidance.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook, line cook, or similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with Indonesian cuisine and/or international culinary styles is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
- Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP) is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
