Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to standard recipes and special dietary requirements.
  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, food plating, and station setup.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation in compliance with hotel and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and special promotions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Follow portion control and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Support in cleaning and organizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cook or line cook in a hotel, restaurant, or similar establishment.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian cuisine and international culinary techniques is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a positive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic English communication skills; proficiency in Indonesian is an advantage.
