Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze security alerts to determine their severity, legitimacy, and potential impact on the organization.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to foster a culture of security within the organization.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
- Participate in security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Experience with security tools and platforms, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate security risks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+, are a plus.
