Responsibility
- Technical Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the long-term technical roadmap for the AI platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirements.
- Architecture & Development: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance AI systems tailored for Defence & Government use cases.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with high-profile clients like Lockheed Martin to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all systems adhere to strict security protocols, compliance standards, and best practices for sensitive data handling.
- Innovation & R&D: Drive research and development initiatives to integrate emerging technologies (e.g., LLMs, computer vision, predictive analytics) into the platform.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and enhance system performance to meet the demanding SLAs of defense and government applications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present technical progress, risks, and solutions to executive stakeholders and clients in a clear, non-technical manner.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing AI/ML or large-scale enterprise systems.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern software architectures (microservices, Kubernetes).
- Defence/Gov Sector Knowledge: Experience working with Defence, Government, or highly regulated industries is a strong plus.
- Security Mindset: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure coding practices, and compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor teams, resolve conflicts, and drive technical decision-making in a collaborative environment.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical skills to tackle complex, mission-critical challenges under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Fluent English with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Education: Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
