job description
Join TECO Electric & Machinery as a Project Engineer specializing in IT and Fiber Optic Systems for cutting-edge data center construction projects in Bali. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the deployment of high-performance IT infrastructure, ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems, and fiber optic networks that power next-generation data centers.
As a key member of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution—from initial planning and system design to installation, rigorous testing, and final handover. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions that meet industry standards and client expectations.
Based in the vibrant region of Badung, this position combines technical challenge with the opportunity to work in one of Indonesia’s most innovative and fast-growing tech hubs. If you are passionate about IT infrastructure, fiber optics, and data center technologies, we invite you to apply and help shape the future of digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia.

- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Oversee the installation and testing of fiber optic cables, patch panels, switches, and other critical networking components to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess technical requirements and propose cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including schematics, as-built drawings, test reports, and handover packages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC) and local regulations for data center construction.
- Provide technical training and support to on-site teams and end-users during system deployment and handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, fiber optic networks, or data center construction projects.
- Proven expertise in fiber optic cabling (single-mode/multi-mode), termination, splicing, and OTDR testing.
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6a).
- Familiarity with data center standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ANSI/BICSI) and best practices for redundancy and scalability.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Visio) and documentation software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Certifications in fiber optics (e.g., FOA CFOT), networking (e.g., CCNA), or data center design (e.g., CDCP) are a plus.
