Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end cutover planning and execution for banking/finance system releases, ensuring minimal downtime and zero operational disruptions.
- Develop and maintain readiness checklists, risk registers, and contingency plans to mitigate deployment risks.
- Coordinate with IT, operations, and business teams to align release schedules, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee data migration, system validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to guarantee seamless transitions.
- Monitor and report on cutover progress, issues, and resolutions to senior management and PMO leadership.
- Drive post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to capture lessons learned and optimize future releases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements specific to financial services deployments.
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for cutover-related escalations and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or related fields; advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in release management, cutover coordination, or Tech PMO within banking/finance.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale system deployments, including core banking, payment systems, or trading platforms.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and technical teams.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, issue tracking, and reporting tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, MS Project).
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., MAS, Basel III, SOX) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
