Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end customs import process for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international customs regulations and trade laws.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth clearance of shipments.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize import operations, reduce costs, and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate records of import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Monitor and resolve any customs-related issues or disputes that may arise during the import process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to align import activities with business objectives.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and industry trends to ensure continuous compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs import operations, preferably in the commercial vehicle or heavy equipment industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in managing steel imports and handling complex customs documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve customs-related issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with government agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using customs management software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
