Responsibility
- Monitor and resolve customs exceptions, delays, and compliance issues for international shipments.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance processes.
- Analyze customs documentation for accuracy and completeness, identifying potential risks or discrepancies.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize customs-related delays and optimize shipment flow.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
- Generate reports on customs exceptions, trends, and resolution metrics for management review.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to provide timely updates and solutions to clients.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members on customs procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs compliance, freight forwarding, or logistics support.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs clearance processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and customs management software (e.g., SAP GTS, Flexport).
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
