Responsibility
- Prepare and submit accurate customs entries in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Verify and validate supporting documents, including invoices, packing lists, and permits.
- Coordinate with government agencies, clients, and shipping lines to ensure timely clearance of goods.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to customs declarations and documentation.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and supply chain operations.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure compliance with customs requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Customs Declarant or in a similar role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using customs management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in customs brokerage or related field is a plus.
