As a Customer Support Engineer, you will be the frontline technical expert, troubleshooting complex semiconductor equipment, performing diagnostics, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity for our high-profile clients. Responsibility
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of highly complex semiconductor equipment at customer wafer fabrication facilities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement equipment upgrades.
- Provide technical training and support to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
- Document all service activities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, in compliance with company standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during all field service operations.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate logistics for equipment repairs and replacements.
- Act as a liaison between customers and KLA-Tencor’s engineering teams to communicate feedback and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or semiconductor manufacturing support.
- Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor equipment, vacuum systems, or precision machinery.
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex systems.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed and work flexible hours, including on-call support.
- Certifications in OSHA safety standards, semiconductor equipment, or similar are advantageous.
