Responsibility
- Provide exceptional front-line customer service to pawn shop clients, including loan applications, item evaluations, and redemption processes.
- Accurately assess and document the value of pledged items (e.g., jewelry, electronics) in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Process pawn transactions, including loan disbursements, interest calculations, and contract renewals, using proprietary systems.
- Educate customers on pawn terms, policies, and repayment options to ensure transparency and trust.
- Maintain meticulous records of all transactions, inventory, and customer interactions in digital and physical formats.
- Resolve customer complaints or disputes professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily operational targets, including customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Uphold security protocols to safeguard pledged items, cash handling, and sensitive customer data.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Proven experience in customer service, retail, or financial services (pawn shop experience is a plus).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for evaluating items and managing financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia; fluency in local dialects is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems; quick learner of new software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Indonesian pawn shop regulations (Pajak Gadai) is preferred but not required.
