Responsibility
- Assist in researching, fact-checking, and compiling information for current affairs programs and news segments.
- Support the production team in scripting, editing, and post-production tasks for digital and broadcast content.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for story ideas, angles, and multimedia presentations.
- Monitor local and international news trends to identify relevant topics for coverage.
- Assist in coordinating interviews, sourcing contacts, and verifying information from diverse sources.
- Help maintain and update content databases, archives, and production logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including videographers, editors, and social media specialists.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and briefings for senior producers and journalists.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Political Science, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Passion for current affairs, news, and storytelling with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic knowledge of media production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Audacity) or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-changing news environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content trends.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
