Responsibility
- Prepare, sterilize, and package medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Inspect and test sterilized items to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies.
- Adhere to infection control policies and workplace safety regulations.
- Assist in the decontamination and cleaning of reusable medical devices.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives for CSSD processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; certification in CSSD or sterilization techniques is a plus.
- Prior experience in healthcare, CSSD, or a related field is highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedural guidelines.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in 3 rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, night).
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization standards (e.g., ISO, AAMI).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
