Responsibility
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for clinical trial projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Negotiate, draft, and review contracts with vendors, research sites, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, principal investigators, and finance teams to align budgetary and contractual needs with trial objectives.
- Conduct financial forecasting and risk assessments to mitigate potential budget overruns or contractual disputes.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, and financial reporting for all clinical trial activities.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all contracts, amendments, and financial transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, including ICH-GCP, FDA, and local guidelines, to ensure all contracts and budgets meet ethical and legal standards.
- Provide financial and contractual guidance to internal teams to support decision-making and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A degree in Healthcare Management or Life Sciences is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in budget management, contract negotiation, or financial analysis, preferably in clinical research or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, ICH-GCP guidelines, and regulatory requirements for contracts and budgets.
- Proven ability to interpret and negotiate complex contracts with attention to detail and risk mitigation.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
- Experience working in a multicultural or international environment is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as CRA (Clinical Research Associate), CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional), or similar are advantageous.
