Responsibility
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments for Australian car loan applications, ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory standards.
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and borrower profiles to determine creditworthiness and recommend approval/denial.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to streamline decision-making processes and reduce turnaround times.
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance, identifying trends and potential risks to proactively mitigate losses.
- Maintain accurate records of credit evaluations and communicate decisions clearly to stakeholders and clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit assessment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining credit decisions with professionalism.
- Contribute to process improvements by suggesting automation or efficiency enhancements in credit evaluation workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in credit assessment, risk analysis, or financial underwriting (preferably in automotive or consumer lending).
- Strong understanding of credit scoring models, financial ratios, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and credit analysis software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Australian lending regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
