Responsibility
- Develop and perfect a diverse range of pastries, cakes (whole and slice), pancakes, and traditional snacks.
- Innovate and introduce new pastry products to expand the menu and attract customers.
- Lead, train, and mentor the pastry team to ensure consistency in quality and efficiency.
- Oversee daily production, including ingredient preparation, baking, and decoration.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management teams to align pastry offerings with seasonal themes and customer preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage supply orders to minimize waste and control costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate modern techniques into traditional recipes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume bakery or hotel.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative pastry designs and technical skills.
- Expertise in baking techniques, including cake decorating, chocolate work, and dough handling.
- Leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for precision in taste and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP or similar certification is a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Fluency in English and/or Indonesian; additional languages are a bonus.
