Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to support daily operations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to portion control and plating standards to ensure consistency and presentation.
- Respond to customer feedback and adjust dishes as needed to enhance satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook, Chef, or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a willingness to experiment with new flavors and techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 25 kg).
