Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for students across different grade levels, aligning with international curriculum standards (e.g., IB, Cambridge, or equivalent).
- Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and cultural appreciation through art.
- Develop and implement project-based learning activities that integrate art with other subjects (e.g., history, science, or technology) to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through portfolios, critiques, and exhibitions, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
- Organize and curate school art exhibitions, competitions, and community events to showcase student work and engage the broader school community.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents, and external artists to enrich the art program and create opportunities for students to engage with the local and global art scene.
- Maintain and manage art supplies, equipment, and classroom resources, ensuring a safe and inspiring learning environment.
- Stay updated on trends in art education, emerging technologies (e.g., digital art tools), and best practices to continuously improve teaching methods.
Qualifications
- A bachelorās degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (masterās degree preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in an international school, art studio, or educational setting, preferably with students aged 5-18.
- Strong knowledge of art techniques, history, and contemporary practices, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.
- Experience with international curricula (e.g., IB, Cambridge, or American Common Core) and familiarity with project-based and inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for fostering creativity in young learners.
- Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment and work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
