Responsibility
- Prepare and verify shipping cost estimates for various container routes.
- Monitor and analyze operational costs to identify potential savings and process improvements.
- Coordinate with local vendors and port authorities regarding billing and cost structures.
- Reconcile invoices against established service agreements and contractual rates.
- Maintain accurate records of freight charges, port dues, and handling fees.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for management review regarding shipment profitability.
- Liaise with the operations team to ensure seamless billing processes and resolution of cost discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or accounts/costing roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a shipping environment.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and regional port regulations is an added advantage.
