Responsibility
- Analyze manufacturing cost variances, including material, labor, and overhead, to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with production and finance teams to investigate root causes of cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost performance, highlighting key insights for management review.
- Develop and maintain cost models to forecast and track budget adherence across manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and evaluate supply chain costs, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes by providing accurate variance analysis and explanations.
- Assist in the implementation of cost control measures and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align cost management strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost analysis, financial planning, or manufacturing accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
