Responsibility
- Conduct thorough cost analysis for raw materials, labor, and overhead to identify savings opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain standard cost systems, including BOM (Bill of Materials) and labor routing updates.
- Monitor production variances and provide actionable insights to department heads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Generate monthly cost reports with clear recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies in all cost-related activities.
- Support inventory valuation and cycle counting processes.
- Assist in pricing strategies by analyzing cost drivers and market trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
