Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and kitchen team in the daily preparation and production of menu items.
- Ensure all ingredients are prepared to exact specifications, including slicing, dicing, and portioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times, adhering to food safety regulations (HACCP).
- Manage stock levels and assist with inventory receiving and storage rotations.
- Operate kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, and ovens) safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards before dishes are served to customers.
- Support the kitchen team during peak service hours to ensure smooth and timely workflow.
- Follow all company policies regarding kitchen safety, dress code, and grooming standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in a burger shop or casual dining cafe.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Strong sense of reliability, punctuality, and professional integrity.
- Relevant vocational degree or certification in Culinary Arts is a plus but not mandatory.
