Responsibility
- Lead and manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for strategic projects and key accounts, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to project teams, sales, and senior management, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Support complex contract negotiations, meticulously drafting, reviewing, and finalizing agreements with clients, partners, and vendors.
- Develop and implement robust contract management strategies designed to optimize project profitability and effectively mitigate commercial risks.
- Oversee billing, invoicing, and payment terms, ensuring timely and accurate financial reconciliation for all contractual agreements.
- Manage contract variations, amendments, and claims processes, ensuring all changes are properly documented, approved, and tracked.
- Monitor project performance against contractual obligations, addressing non-compliance and escalating critical issues as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date contract records and documentation, ensuring audit readiness and easy accessibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, or a closely related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FIDIC, IACCM) is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in contract management, commercial operations, or legal roles, preferably within the ICT, telecommunications, or broader technology sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation strategies, risk assessment, and claims management.
- Strong understanding of commercial law, contract principles, and relevant industry regulations (e.g., local Malaysian law, international standards).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advanced negotiation skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural, and dynamic global environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential; additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin) are highly advantageous.
