Responsibility
- Oversee the end-to-end construction of data center facilities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with colocation providers, contractors, and vendors to coordinate project execution and resolve challenges.
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and contingency strategies to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and Oracle’s sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews, providing detailed reports to senior management.
- Manage procurement processes for construction materials and services, optimizing cost efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and IT specialists, to align construction with technical requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in construction methodologies and best practices for data center development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and sustainability practices in the JAPAC region.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and construction estimation tools.
- Experience working with colocation providers or hyperscale data center operators is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the JAPAC region as needed.
