Responsibility
- Provide on-site technical support to clients, contractors, and project teams, including surface assessment, product recommendations, and application guidance.
- Conduct pre- and post-application inspections to ensure adherence to specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Develop and deliver customized paint system solutions tailored to project requirements, environmental conditions, and client budgets.
- Troubleshoot coating failures, defects, or performance issues and propose corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
- Train and educate clients and applicators on proper surface preparation, application techniques, and maintenance best practices.
- Collaborate with the R&D and sales teams to gather field insights and contribute to product improvements or new formulations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, including site assessments, test results, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in paints and coatings to provide cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; or equivalent technical experience in paints/coatings.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in technical support, quality control, or project supervision within the paints/coatings industry.
- In-depth knowledge of paint systems, substrates, application methods (brush, spray, roller), and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and MSDS documents.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root-cause analysis for coating failures.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical software (e.g., AutoCAD, color matching tools) is a plus.
